Scott is on a 6 month tour of duty in Sangin, Afghanistan with 73 Armoured Squadron, 21 Engineers Regiment Scott has now left Camp Bastion with its Pizza Hut, electricity, proper showers, proper food and homely comforts as telephones and internet access.
At present, Scott is stationed where there is no electricity, no showers and the only food available is the Army rations, which aren’t that pleasant day after day. So if anyone can spare or can donate any of the following, please can you contact me or leave behind the bar in the club house (see poster in club for further details)
Baby/Wet wipes Biscuits (not chocolate) Pringles Crisps Sweets (not chocolate) Chewing Gum Mints Magazines Empty Shoe Boxes Hot Chocolate Sachets Teabags Sachets of Coffee
Please include a letter to Scott to keep him up to date , as it can get extremely lonely out there. Thank you all so much for your support

If your boy mentions a rather large parcel full of books, mags, toiletries, choccies etc, sent not to him specifically but to his regiment then it's from the regulars at The Dovecote, West Bromwch. We support our lads out there, hope they all get back safely.

Message recieved from Sgt Walthew 21 Eng Reg Mr Farrington, Firstly may I take this opportunity to thank you in your support of the 21 Engr Regt wristband fund, it is very much appreciated by the Regt. I glad all went well on Saturday and that the wristbands got there on time. If you do have another event of that nature and you require more wristbands please don’t hesitate to contact me in plenty of notice so we can arrange early delivery. It would be very much appreciated if you could send some photos of the day and if possible copies of the programme, with the write up in, to the following e-mail address: . As I mentioned on the phone earlier this morning, I am sure it will mean a lot to the troops knowing that not only families but the wider community are supporting them in these very testing times. Once again, on behalf of the Regt I would like to thank all those involved for their support.

Sorry to hear that. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the two lads. Lets hope that there are no further unfortunate events. I hope TFC make your lads return as special as mine was.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to all those that are sending out goodies to myself and my comrades out here in Afghanistan. I've recieved so many parcels now and its good for morale in places where there is no welfare or any proper food . just the typical " army rations " day in day out !
once again a big thankyou to those who are getting involved
COME ON YOU LAMBS !!!! :d/ :d/ :d/ :d/ :d/

just a note from a heed fan....... the following is a link to a letter i recieved off scott after we sent out a number of parcels to him. the we are, myself and bro, plus ex servicemen and partners. some of these exservicemen had the pleasure of meeting henry and a few other of you when we stayed in tamuff earlier in the year on our way to the arboretum. they are asking when are we going back, as they enjoyed the hospitality u lot showed. anyway good luck for the coming season and look forward to ur visit up here. unfortunately i shall be in london for remembrance w/e when we have the return trip. all the best ken http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4252284&id=797794360any probs viewing it, let me know
