Greene, you are a fraud. I bet you couldn't believe your luck when we were stupid enough to employ you. Loads of players brought in with no improvement, rubbish tactics, inept defending, aimless hoofball style of play, and crap results. Add to that the fact that every time that you open your mouth it is almost impossible to breathe for the intense stench of total bullsh*t and I've had enough. Thats it, I've put my head above the parapet, over to the rest of you to shoot me down, or maybe some of you might just agree.

Worried tonight - has to be question marks why we ain’t made any progress since DG in charge - many shambolic performances todate - today TOTAL HOOF first half - Second total FOOTBALL (apart from when Kettle had ball) - Don’t get fooled from our dominance however in second - St Ives allowed us to come on to them playing deep protecting their lead - must have been a tough decision for them in not attacking our porius defence to make it a safe 3 points - why really worried if DG hasn’t “got it” as a manager we’ve got him for best of next 18 months to find out really the hard way - Today finally decided no more away games this season - not willing to follow a team in transition or consolidation or just maybe

When we are losing, we seem to panic tactically and end up playing anyone anywhere with no real formation. Maybe it’s a tactic to confuse the opposition, because if we are confused and lost then they must be just as confused.

You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

Having slept on it think we’re both being a titch bit harsh - DG was responsible for our best ever Cup Run (FA and Trophy) since 2015 least we both forget this season ![]() ![]() |

This is all down to one person, Bob Andrews. He is the only one who ultimately has to take responsibility for the position we are in. I hope by today at the latest he’s laid it on the table with DG and what he expects or the consequences if not. But we know that’s not going to happen.

To be fair to bob we have had 3 managers since last Christmas so if he lays it on the line any more he’s going to turn into deadly Doug.

But that’s my point. He’s the decision maker. The buck stops with him. If all the managers aren’t up to it, who signed them up. He checked them out. You can’t put any of the blame anywhere else. Edited by Bof - 24 Dec 2018 at 3:07pm |

I think we probably largely agree. I wouldn’t have sacked AM mid season and I think we would have stayed up to be honest. A decision could then have been made in summer. Having had the disastrous run in I wouldn’t have given MF the job full time in the summer but when we did and allowed him a full pre season and to build a squad, my patience would’ve lasted longer than early September.
Having given DG a hospital pass - job in late September with good players under contract elsewhere and unwilling to move I wouldn’t be for sacking him now either. Every time you rip it up and start again you cause disruption. People will point at times it has worked (Hodgson at palace last year after the de Boer debacle) but more often it doesn’t and it sets things back further. I would be sticking with him and giving him a pre season and a chance to build a squad (not just from those available mid season) and see how it goes. If 2018 has proved one thing it’s that chopping and changing is a very risky strategy. |
