Footy Dave youre spot on.
![]() This spurious argument about the chairman not caring and not investing in the club is propogated by the same people time after time, some of who admit they dont even attend games anymore. ![]() Not sure of the motive ![]() ![]() Belford takes us down = BAD CHAIRMAN. Morell takes us up = BAD CHAIRMAN Can you see where Iam going with this? Bob Andrews like every other human being has made misjudgements, but he has been solid for more years than I care to remember. Bob is Tamworth FC through and through, no one cares more about this club. At this time Bob and the club and many supporters are mourning the loss of a Tamworth great in Russell Gordon. More than that Bob has lost a close personal friend. Yet we still have to read bull on here spouted in a ridiculous fashion, criticising the chairman and therefore the club. I guess thats why we live in a "democracy" so that we can all be inclusive idiots. Yes TFC are a small club and with the interest shown by the townsfolk we are Imo about where we should be. The Lamb ground has changed enormously under Bobs tenure, but only as much as necessary so as not to sink the club in debt. Conference premier is contested by big ex league clubs with huge fan bases in comparison to Tamworth. Iam sure the likes of Hereford and Kettering would have loved to have a long term steward Like Bob Andrews. Just ask their fans!!! Carry on Bob Imo you deserve the support of ALL Tfc fans. COYL

WOW - perfectly put etonboybodger , I couldn't have thought of all that , but you are SOOOOOO right , I have defended Bob in the past and got nothing but abuse over it - I had a little pop at you a few weeks ago but I take it all back - I have supported the Lambs since 1962!and can remember when Bob rescued us from oblivion so I will always be grateful to him .

I believe that most long standing fans understand that B Andrews has overseen the change at the club (bottom of Northern premier league being watched by 75 fans to Fa Vase winners and Conference PREMIER football, FA cup 3rd). The history of the club is worth researching for those newer fans as its easy to see Bobs massive contribution to the club. As for you having a pop at me I thank you for your apology, however I must put you straight on that seeing as how you bought it up. I believe you misread a thread where comments were made about not attending games at the Lamb. Those comments were not made by myself but by our chairman bashing compatriot HAPPY RED. If you can be bothered please reread the thread, you will see what I mean. All respect to you, supporting your hometown club all these years through thick and thin. Its genuine supporters like you that are the lifeblood of the club, who without, the Tfc brand would have disappeared long ago.

You got me wrong. You are right I will pick the games I want to watch. Not paying £12 £14 to watch every game, spoke to someone at work played Prem now plays North, you can guess what he said, about the Norths football over priced. When does he train on 3 shifts. Do you understand what I am saying. Now going back to Mr Andrews, all I am saying is why on earth does he want to stay in a club, or run a club, what's got no identity. Eg. Under Mr Morrel it now looks more likely that we could win promotion. Now are we Prem side North side? Now have I made my self clear with out offending anyone. As for the forum debating on what people say is what the forum is all about.
etonboybodger some times you don't have go on. |

Don't mind paying £12 as long I see effort and commitment from the players and since AM has joined that's all I've witnessed compared to the dross 3/4 seasons prior and that's when I had a problem with paying the entrance fee.
It's a simple concept, keep winning and the crowds will come, we were down to 450 at one point this season and now we are approaching 950 or so.... The Chairman has made many mistakes for which i have been very critical of and I'm sure he'd be the first to say that but he keeps putting his hand in is pocket and helps the club out and this time the Directors have got it spot on.....long may it continue |

To enjoy the success Tamworth are having at the moment is to stay in the north. Is that possible? Why would you need any other team? Can you keep going in and out the prem without damaging the club ? I can see trouble ahead. But its good in way watching which way they are going go.

For me it's about aspirations, when we where in the conference, turning over the big teams was epic. We did struggle when GM left but I do hope we can achieve that status again.
