I think walking home disappointed with only a point is testament to how well I thought we played. Jones had a solid debut at the back, constantly talking and gesticulating to those around him and I can't recall him losing any tackle he went in for. Be interesting to know why Tomassen was completely dropped from the team sheet.
Was gutted to concede such a simple goal due to a lack of concentration. Who should have been marking the free player who scored? My first thoughts were Morley as it came from the left backs position but on reflection I think a midfielder dropped the ball there... Gifted them a point. Super impressed with how Jed is developing since coming into the starting eleven. Was nice to hear someone near me echo my thoughts on the similarities between him and a certain Mr Durrell. I agree with the comments about Clarke; doesn't do anywhere near enough. The same can be said for Mills. I find him utterly frustrating to watch as his pace offers a real threat but he disappears in games too much for me. We know he can score goals but for me right now he is the non league Gabby Agbonlahor... I think he'll come good for us though. On a side note it's funny when you realise the more games you are going to the more invested you are becoming. Roll on next home game! |

Thought Toms had a great season last year - but had DP looking after him - Lane couldn't - neither could command that back line - but to be fair he was not only player who let themselves down over the Kiddy slaughter sequence - but at end of day thought it was going to be Toms who was going to be dropped

I vaguely remember that for a reason I don't understand, bans kick in after 14 days in this league so Tommo was sent off v Glos, played v Curzon and Kiddy and then was banned for this week. Will happily stand corrected if he was dropped and I also thought Jones did ok.

Ok - what's the view out there - thought Toms was outstanding in an outstanding back 4 last season - but not the key element - that said AM made the easier choice for him by dropping him over Lane - managers after all seem to support recent signings over whose who have delivered in the past? - views welcome? To be fair not sure?

Fair enough TFCJames. As for views, mine is a bit hampered by having seen neither of the Kiddy games but prior to that I thought Tommo and Lane had both done ok with Tommo maybe fractionally the better. Hand on heart though, Dan Preston or Dom Smith would replace either of them for me.

Bert under the FA League admission rules for away fans are entitled to purchase tickets at the cheapest price offer to home fans, which means if they do not offer you standing they have to sell you seating at the standing prices which make TFC cheaper ! Sorry to p__s on your chips |
