Says it all as to where the season went wrong when the manager reckoned his best player was one who never learnt how to pass the ball all season unless an aimless hoof counts as one and can't tackle either!

I dont believe sticking up for Dale is accepting failure.  Most people accept that Tamworths tenure in the Conference Premier was always precarious.  Avoiding relegation was always the benchmark for judging success.  Relegation was almost inevitable unless lots of investment or large increases in average home crowds happened.

Dale has made mistakes, as quite probably have Jose Mourino, Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger!  However, I believe he should be given the opportunity to learn from them.  Managerial stability is not always a bad thing.

Disagree as I feel he demonstrated he's out of his depth, I've watched him manage and manage by fear he does! That's why you look at the squad at the end of the season and most were kids, the ones which won't answer back or offer an opinion.

He's rubbish let's face it and if he continues you'll be lucky to get 500 next season.

I don't believe the board have not made a statement about the manager for next season. Surely we cannot keep the current Manager after what we have suffered this season. He should be now given the opportunity to manage a side at a lower level and make mistakes because after following them for the last 12 season's with the current Management we will loose fans next season.

I have a horrible feeling that Dale will still be here next season, otherwise I think the Board would have got rid of him by now, however knowing their love for inactivity and silence perhaps not.
My other nightmare is that if Dale stays, Courtney Belford will be in goal for next season. He has managed to wheedle himself onto the pitch for pre-match warm up and half time penalty shoot out competition. Why not James Wren?

Just wait till July (usually the latter part). That's when we've made all our decisions for the previous (insert number you've been following the club) seasons on player recruitment (by which I mean at least three quarters of a squad), style of play etc etc. We've obviously analysed it as a club and decided that action in the early part of the close season has no benefits whatsoever...
The bad news is time flies. The good news is we are the pilots

You cynic!!
But I agree we usually don't rush into planning for a new season until we start pre- season friendlies, in fact this season we had nearly played all of our games before the squad was sorted!!!!!!

The world cup may deflect what's going on, or may be not, and as usual of late any young player players discarded by Blues, Walsall or Nottingham Florist will be signed, loaned out to gain experience at clubs like Long Eaton, Dudley Sports or Melchester Rovers, befoe being released...............then again Dale might be off to Brazil to find a few up and coming players who's names non of us will able to pronounce..........the silly season is well underway.

Giggs is available though. Could have Rio, Vidic in defence. Giggs Schole Butt in midfield. Cantona and his hop farmers up front. Sponsored by 1664. That the formation guys..........
Kronenberg sponsor.
Average crowd per game is1675, including the home team. Fans get in for nothing. Tamworth could then beat the best pub club in the world, possibly.......
