OK, my thoughts on the situation for what they are worth. Any one that has read my posts on this site will hopefully agree that I try to be balanced about things, I criticise when necessary and praise when deserved. I have never, up to this point, called for Andy Morrell to resign or be sacked. Looking at recent results and performances a couple of stats are worth highlighting, we have conceded 20 goals in the last 7 games and we have not won a home game since September 12th, against Kidderminster. Looking longer term, we have consistently struggled to beat teams at the lower end of the table and have an appalling record in all of the cup competitions including numerous losses to lower league sides, both of these things have been going on for far too long to be a blip, or bad luck in my opinion. If we are serious about being a side that seriously challenges for the play offs with realistic ambitions of promotion then surely we have to take the view that Andy Morrell has now had enough time to prove what he can do and unfortunately has fallen short of the standards required. It is therefore with genuine sadness that I have to say that it is time for him to go. That being said, most of the players need to take a damn good look at themselves as they have let the manager down repeatedly. The exceptions to that are Andy Burns, Callum Powell, perhaps Connor Taylor and surprisingly, Reece Styche while he was here. On the oppsosite end of the scale Sean Rowley in goal belongs in the Sunday league. Over to the rest of you for your thoughts, I'll put me tin hat on

At long last you’ve got of that fence NWL - touched ground with most points but l have to add inability to use Youth - spending so much effort and £ on that side as a club rightly or wrongly you can’t have a manager at the helm who finds it a risk to play them -out out out for me what a surprise

We've had the old cliche "We've got to stick together"  Now brace yourself for the old favourite "I'm not a quitter"

It’s fine to question players until you know they are already playing at the highest standard they possibly can I.e. Morley.
Unfortunately now it’s hit the point where Morrell has failed to recognise that the likes of Jones, Morley and Taylor have failed to improve now for so long that when they are picked you can only question the manager rather than the individuas

I sympathise with him in terms of playing budget (not including acedemy etc) so it’s time Mr Andrews also admitted that he isn’t willing to put up any money.
Maybe we should start also calling for answers from the board

Have to agree with what you say by and large IOM,other than disagreeing re Taylor who despite showing effort, does not posess the required talent to have a real impact at this level.Effort and enthusiasm can only take you so far i'm afraid. AM is a really nice chap and you want him to do well. For some reason though he seems to put our defensive ineptitude down to "bad days at the office" rather than the truth that they simply arent good enough and havent been for nearly 2 seasons, Burns aside. Budget does play a big part but whether AM would be good enough with more money available is questionable. You just know that despite the shocking errors, Jones, Morley etc are guaranteed their starting places regardless., and AM seems to have no idea as to how to stop the rot.I take no pleasure in being proved correct about the Nuneaton debacle and i suspect worse is yet to come and it will be more of a question of us being able to do enough to stay up rather than challenge for a play off spot. It is hard to compete against some of the teams in this league with their spending power, but if Mr Andrews and co expect to be able to get out of this league on the cheap they are living in cuckoo land, and i too question their real ambition.

Paying AM and his assistant off would be in the region of £60,000 (7 months of every 12 remaining) plus the wages of any new manager.Probably £100,000 in total. AM may be here for some time. To his credit AM has turned TFC into a proper football club but the first team has been consitantly poor. Four seasons is long enough to prove yourself as a manager and he hasn't done it.

How has he turned us into a proper club CL?

Various levels of players (under 21 etc) that we didn't have before. Junior teams also. He may have persuaded the chairman about the pitch. That's what I was alluding to.You have to admit it's different from 4 years ago.Just the first team that hasn't progressed.

Poor choice of words, ,improved the structure at the expense of the first team, yes 4 season's stuck in limbo, our goal difference is shocking and worryingly most goals against come against the so called poorer teams, three seems to be number.

In truth Players are not good enough, and it seems AM does not have the ability to motivate them into playing above themselves, what happens next, dont know, lets just hope we stop the rot and show some sort of stability in results.
