Disappointed but not surprised. The Board have taken the easy and cheap way out which will have implications on crowd numbers and therefore may prove a costly mistake. I for one will not be renewing my season ticket and will not attend next season until Belford goes.
How long will they give him to rebuild.I wonder?

I'm willing to give him one final chance, lets see who he brings in over the summer. The first month or so of the new season is massive and if results arent coming then i think a change may have to happen. Hopefully, he can persuade kerry, thornton and richards everton to sign

Got to agree. I can understand fans feelings and not wanting to attend. But at the end of the day are we Tamworth FC supporters or not.

Disappointing choice. We've been relegated, we don't need "stability" we need impetus to push us forward after a totally awful season where the same excuses were wheeled out over and over again.

Like redblooded I will not be renewing my season ticket either

Disgrace,

Not one mention of bouncing back with promotion....
No apologies for last season.....

Will attend a few away games but I won't be setting foot through the Lamb turnstiles.....

Terrible decision IMO.  Dale has the club's best interests at heart, I appreciate that.  So do I, but it doesn't mean I'd be any good as manager.

If Dale understands non-league football so well, why did we have such an horrendous season last year?

If stability is key, why did we use god-knows how many players last season?

I really do think that an awful lot of people will vote with their feet and, more worryingly, I think quite a few of the usual 'hardcore' will be amongst them.  A few good results at the start of the season may do the trick but I do feel that the club has a lot of rebuilding to do in terms of connecting with the fans again.

Complete sham, Belford has gotten away with murder compared to other recent managers and now he be put in charge of next season as well...  I see a conference north relegation battle coming on

Already made up my mind about not renewing season ticket long before we were relegated. Looks like I made good decision then. We should have grab Millsy when he was sacked from York, now look at Gateshead.

I seem to remember many, many fans shouting for Mills head when we lost away to hucknall in that dire first season back in the conf north, he wasnt sacked and the following year proved everyone wrong with good young footballers. Lets give Dale a chance to prove that last season was a blip, like Luke said first couple of months are HUGE!

Do you honestly believe Gary Mills would have come back to the club again? People moan about the Belford  decision and are entitled  to do so. It's a  results business and the club and  didn't deliver last season.
But there never seem to be any realistic suggestions as to who should be manager though ..the likes of Burr, Mills are out of the club's remit, it's as simple as that.
Also, have to say, among all the moaning, it's a shame no one has given the local companies who have agreed sponsorship for three years  any credit...

Until you ask you won't find out who is willing to take the job on. Staying with Belford was the easy option as the Board didn't have to make a decision.

The cheap option taken again - I'm not surprised and said he would stay weeks ago. He would have gone before now. Granted, Bob has kept us afloat when we could have spent stupidly and hes always said he would work to the budget regardless.  I like Dale, but I wonder whether he is cut out for this....We are where we are, he's staying and I'll still support the team but I also won't be renewing my season ticket and probably pick and choose games.  For many years I've been there at home games, whatever weather, however badly we're doing and I'll continue to go more often than not. But I won't be upset if we don't bounce straight back.  We need to rebuild, get in some talented young (local?) players who want to perform and put themselves in the shop window. We'll reap the benefits when the bigger clubs come sniffing.  Keep Jesse, Kayne, B R-E and the like, have a decent cup and trophy run and we'll see.  I for one would just like to see the team winning again - the rest will look after itself.  Great to see 3 Local business men getting involved, with the club at heart - especially Henry.  Thanks guys, and Dale as a local lad too, lets get the TFC spirit back. COYL.

Andrews you haven't a clue! Belford doesn't have a clue, I to will not renew my season ticket and won't be going next season....I cannot comprehend why??

Does this mean a Belford on and off the pitch next season ? and 18 new mixture of up and coming released ex league club youngsters, sprinkled with a few old heads on last legs ? The club have made their choice, we ether except it and see what transpires, or you walk away from the club you support.

If I was to guess anything less than being in the top seven by Christmas, then with the new year will come a new manager.

At least I have Chester to look forward to next season again, just please make it a Saturday game.

Doesn't seem like Cameron will be here next season, according to this. Just seven offered deals so far..

Be interesting to know if the three sponsors knew Belford was appointed before they committed, if they did I really need to borrow the rose tinted specs..

It will be comedy beyond compare if Burnley sign Kaiyne Woolery this summer with the lad having barely made an appearance of above 15 minutes in the Conference until we were relegated. I don't say this because I think Kaiyne is a poor player. I say it because we picked an incredible number of players ahead of him (including Stuart F-ing Hendrie as I couldn't help calling him) rather than giving a raw but talented kid a chance.

However the seven that have been offered terms all seem good shouts with the possible exception of Townsend who was either suffering the after effects of a long injury and will improve next season or simply was just not particularly good. I am open-minded with regards to him, I just didn't see a lot to be terribly excited about.

God help us!!!! The negativity continues from Andrews & co as usual.

Its all well and good, Andrews saying the other relegated clubs are retaining their managers. THEY ARE BETTER THAN EVER BELFORD WILL BE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!!

For god's sake Andrews go!!!

No disrespect to Dale but the Conf North is a megga tough league to get out of these days. I think a more experienced manager would give us a better chance of competing and also appease the fans who want a fresh start.

The best quote in the TH was....

"For me, I just feel that if you change direction every season, it can become a farce,"

"You see it at all levels of football where teams change a manager and it doesn't work.

FC Bayern have had 5 in 7 years
Chelsea keep changing every few years and have done well

Arsene at the Arsenal? sums it up really! LOL

Nicely handpicked. But you could find countless more examples  of  when countless changes of managers at clubs  have failed.

Regardless of whether the decision to stick with Belford should have been made, don't see how you can have a go at a chairman for saying he feels stability is something he wants.

There's a lot wrong at the club, and the lack of direction/communication  from Andrews and those at the top is one of those but picking fault with every single thing said is ridiculous.

People were knocking his views on a 4G pitch saying he wanted them in a lower league even though he said he would only look at that if it was passed by the Conference.

What do you mean handpicked?

The most successful football clubs/teams change coach/managers all the time.... lol

If he wants stability stop bringing in 30/40 players a season.... Get a settled side, It's simple!

Scamp, stability is the key and a good manager will get in the best players in that are available for the start of the season , and then improve the squad as the season progress, unfortunately we have a manager that up to now has gone backwards in terms of replacing anything better than what he started with, lets hope he has learnt enough over the last two seasons to know how and when to change things for the better. At this point I fully expect Get real 2 to insert his two penneeth in, love to know his former user name?

NWL it seems we agree on some points, think Belford is the wrong choice and my opinion will not change, I hope I'm wrong because I've enjoyed going to watch TFC for the last 10 years and this year if the very first time I've struggled to stay motivated. Woolery is a classic example of him knowing sweet FA about football and to compound the problem further he includes Justin RIchards who quite frankly struggled to jump, run and score and Belford stuck with him and sent Woolery out on loan!

I think Andrews doesn't help the situation coming out with absolute tosh in the Herald without communicating with the fans.

I predict if Belford performs like he did last year and the outcome is the same we will struggle to see 500 in terms of attendance. Andrews will reap what he sows

It's difficult to argue with most of the comments, but I think if we lose a bulk of the small crowds we are already getting, I can see us having another very difficult season, but we will also struggle to attract players, who would want to play in front of extremely small crowds, but I agree in the sense that the board are hardly showing the signs you expect from a team who spent the last 5 seasons in the Conference National, and by rights should be a big favourite to return there!!

I think we need to give youth a chance next season. Bearing in mind some of them come on Youth Loans so they dont cost TFC any money, that would free up some budget for players who have played in the Conference Prem or at the higher end of the Conference North - as Dale said.

Also pleased he has been re-appointed. Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes.
