Hopefully Claudio Dias will be a decent signing, has been around this league scene for a while, and started at Northampton, hopefully the defender (anyone have any idea who it is) will have some experience too, it seems to be that the teams at the top are made up of players with football league experience, especially Kettering, and some young prospects, we have the young prospects, just not the experience in my view, maybe it’s down to injuries, but we have got to change something, and replace the recent players who have departed.

Anyone got any idea who these other potential signings are, they mention an unnamed defender in the article above and Greene said in his post match interview after the game on Saturday, that they would have a few trialists in the game tomorrow.

It's got to the stage where it doesn't interest me anymore Skippo. We have used in the region of 50 players so far this season and its only mid January. How are you supposed to build a bond with the team when there are players arriving and leaving almost every week. Just disheartening.

I can’t argue with that IOM, I sometimes like it when we sign a player that I think is probably a coup for the club, although that hasn’t happened in a while, and the ones that do come in are on the whole very disappointing.

Think all the quality players were signed long ago.We will be very lucky to find any real gems this late in the season, and we certainly want no more players signed who are recovering from injuries.Think we might have to battle on with what we have and hope some of our injuries clear up before end of season.Must say i thought our youngsters did pretty on saturday.

I think Charlie Shaw has been a bright light the last couple of games. Has acquitted himself well even when out of position and despite still looking about 13, he doesn’t mind a tackle. He might be better than i’d thought previously...although outfield players with glovesis only slightly less offensive than players with pony tails as I gradually become as tolerant as Brian Clough!

Somehow that post omitted the phrase outfield players with gloves!

Any idea where Regan Upton is anybody?

Regan Upton is supposedly off crutches and close to a return, and we bloody need him too, one of our better players in my opinion.

Jed Davies released from Hednesford. Would love him back

Don’t think he is any better than most players we already have.

He weren’t too bad actually, certainly couldn’t be any worse

Would add a bit of technical ability to squad rather than DG’s head it kick it 6ft+ brigade

I would definitely have Jed back in our side. Pitch is suited to players who can turn sharply and has bags of skill.

That might work if only any of DG's head it, kick it brigade could actually either head it, or kick it.

Has anyone noticed that Mike Taylor can't jump and never wins a header. Useless as a target man.

Spoke to a Stratford director last week - he stated that MT was neither a target man or prolific scorer for them - as said previously really worried we signed him on massive wages as a world beater based upon him playing against a piss poor defence (Tamworth) with a team who actually played him in (Stratford) that Tuesday night - now he’s playing against defences better than ours with diddly sh*t in terms of service

Says a lot when our striker looks better at centreback than upfront.
Bedworth caused us a few problems at their place (especially in the first half) and are ahead of us on current form so no formality there.
