See we are favourites for this game. Odd as Celtic form has been at home this season. Like Gainsborough, this is possibly winnable. I hope so, as a vein of form of successive wins needs to start soon. Preferably starting today

Rumours of Townsend being injured in the warm up but I personally can't believe that!

Terrible. Suspensions and injuries really hits home.

I am finished with Belford and has no longer my support.

What has happened to Messam? Bringing Taylor on for Hibberd seems strange (even for our Manager) was he injured?

Didn't go today so can't comment on performance but it is fairly obviously another substandard result against a side who are not pulling up any trees. One thing I can comment on is that quite a few of us on here said as soon as Townsend was given a contract that it was a strange choice. The lad has had over two years with very little football as a result of injuries. I genuinely couldn't tell you how good a footballer I think he is because I'm not sure I've ever seen him fully fit and when you have a limited budget and need to operate a fairly small squad, a bloke who is going to regularly miss games injured is an odd choice.

The teams we've played in our first nine sit 18th, 19th, 8th, 9th, 7th, 22nd, 3rd, 15th & 14th respectively indicating we've had a pretty balanced start against four top half sides and five bottom half sides so although it's still very early, it would be unfair to suggest we'd had a particularly tough or particularly easy start. The fact we're now seven without a win and have started leaking goals more regularly suggests the trajectory is in the wrong direction. I never thought this league would be a walk in the  park but I expected to be well into double figures points wise by now. I'm not one for calling for people to be sacked but I'm not sure how many more bad results we can take before the Board will be forced to act. If we'd been colossally unlucky, things would be different but we were maybe unlucky to lose to Stockport but on the flipside we were lucky to beat Gloucester. We've got about what we deserve which is less than a point a game.

If you sit on the fence long enough you get splinters

If I thought Belford was going to rapidly turn things around I would be delighted for him to stay.  Nice bloke who works hard.  However being nice and working hard isnt enough, and I dont believe for 1 minute performances will suddenly change for the better.  For the last 3 seasons we have been served up teams that, for the most part, have played sh*t quality football, mostly consisting of whacking up the pitch.  This season I really thought we had the players to at least make games more interesting to watch, and I still think that.  So if we have the players (granted a couple of proper wingers would help) then the problem can only be the manager!

Last minute change of mind to go today thank god, bloody depressing, what excuse this time Dale, the sun was to hot.

I was there today and we could have been 6 down at half time.  If Dale really does love the club as much as he says he does, I hope he does the right thing and resigns tonight or tomorrow.

Interesting.

Dale always puts his thoughts after the game on the website but no word at all since Saturday.

It's not boding well is it?

Two weeks ago, for me the glass was still half full hence my 'Belford In' post, but losing 3-0 at home and getting 2 men sent off followed by conceding another 3 goals to a team that IMO aren't going to pull trees up this season...how can I defend him?

Has he lost the dressing room?  Is it tactics?  Having a captain who spends his life on the treatment table..

Got to agree with the majority now.

I would never have swapped the defence round from the one that started the season (Purdie, Green, Preston & Sleath) but for some reason we did and now the goals are flooding in.

Go back to what we know worked.

"Go back to what we know worked."
I remember this statement being bandidied around a lot last season!
Next few games should sort things out. 2 key Belford players out through suspension and a banana skin fa tie to look forward to.
Dale must be having a mare about Rushall, a game Tamworth can not afford to lose in my opinion. Dales son in goal and newly transferred Hildreth back at the Lamb. Hildreth sent off after five minutes. Hildreth scores last minute winner.

How can Hildreth score a last minute winner if he is sent off after 5 minutes ?

Hopefully the club are putting together a decent, believable, statement of intent / resignation of those blocking our growth / appointment of new blood off the field.
