We must be doing well because this place has been very quiet in recent days! Comfortable 3-0 success tomorrow with Hoenes, Clement and Waite hitting the net.

Think you may have a long time to wait. Yes abysmal today but it’s a one off we hope. It was very much like the Darlington match we just didn’t get it together. But they need to review Francis he’s certainly not as good as Luke. Better now than a league match and for that reason didn’t depress me as much. Need to get this out of their heads and get back to winning ways with crucial games coming up. Can’t let this get them down.

We were terrible
They were decent, certainly not relegation fodder
Hoenes did well
Frances has a shocker
Right back needs sorting

We've hopefully learnt our lesson on knee jerk fanny fit sackings...

We were crap today. Missed Bes in the middle and I thought Smudge/Andy got the subs wrong. How Clement came off instead of Fry was beyond me.

You do have to give credit though. Gainsborough were good. They pressed high, they pressed as a unit and Ross Hannah had a terrific game (9).Woodhouse looks like he'll get them climbing the league.

They were good. We were disjointed and poor. Two very winnable home games between now and this time next week so six points between now and then will see today forgiven and forgotten.

Certainly a big let down after last week but at least it was not a league game.Never really got going and can have no complaints. Both Beswick and Ford badly missed and that showed in the quality of our passing.Hopefully just a blip which can be put right next week.

No point going over old ground Argus as we don't agree but I remember when mid table in the Conference North was totally unacceptable to you and yet now this is sensational.

Hopefully we can win the league this year, finish top half next season in a league where plenty of clubs have massively higher budgets than us and we'll be able to agree we're back where we started and hopefully no one will be daft enough to think that so disastrous that we need to be sacking people.

Today was poor but in fairness, when we have lost under Smudge and Andy, we have generally responded with a positive result to follow up. If that happens again, today won't live long in the memory.

I've not revisited any of the arguments about any of the appointments or timings or sackings as it is pointless but I just think it worth pointing out that you were absolutely convinced that mid table conference north was a ridiculous and sackable underachievement but now think being top of this division is sensational.

I have never seen you acknowledge which one of these incompatible viewpoints is wrong. I don't suppose I will either but as this is a forum where people discuss the club, I do try to understand other opinions. For my money, being top of this league is good, winning games is enjoyable and Smudge and Andy deserve credit. Being mid table in the division above and playing much bigger, better teams and competing was more enjoyable though and more of an achievement, and ultimately my hope is that Smudge and Andy achieve or even exceed that.

All opinions welcome (as long as they're exactly the same as Argus's) ho hum emoji emoji etc etc

Argus has been through some shocking times since becoming a Lambs fan,he has seen many heads roll, which I may say he has helped instigate at times,so let him enjoy this new found ecstatic feeling that he has.He has kept this forum together,he is a great fan of this club,so deserves everything the club is throwing at him at present.Onwards and upwards back to where we belong hey Mr Argus.

Yep, dead proud of being one of many on here and on the terraces who wanted AM, MF and DG out. Can’t take all the credit though IvorThumbs Up

Agree with Fowler and Greene, they were both pretty shambolic. Morrell would've certainly kept us up and I think we were off the back of a pretty good point at home to York City. Still not sure I agree that was the right decision.

Only the board know why they got rid of Morrell. Will never forget the 12 game streak, sure there was some direct football played.
After seeing Hereford this season, it’s still very much in vogue in Conf North for some managers. Instability kills football clubs. Any Man Utd fans agree.

I beg to differ, I think he has stopped many former regular contributors reluctant to do so now because of his overbearing posts.

Your doing a Donald Trump a bit of fake news. On the eve of his last game in charge yes 12th in table but AM had won 2 games in 9 and we were 5 points from the drop zone, fact. 2 of those teams in the drop zone had games in hand on us, 1 of them 2 and we were dropping down the table. AM was stale and we were going nowhere. Sacking him was a dead right decision by the Board in my opinion, we would not be having this discussion on the rights or wrongs on the demise of AM if the Board has made a good call on his replacementx2.Big smile

There you go again Red Blooded has a point! Football opinions/ banter don’t have to be confrontational! Carping from the sidelines is a bit of a tradition down the Lamb, depressingly so

Can't believe I missed this Argus. Don't you get doing your fake news. You didn't decide you wanted AM sacked the week he went. You banged on it about it for months if not years.

It is done. It is in the past. We are top of the league but don't bad mouth me not accepting others' points of view when you don't even accept your own.

I've been wrong and admitted being wrong on here many times. Most recently in thinking we'd make the play offs last season.

I also regularly predict results wrongly. I have misjudged players on here too and happily admit it. Thought Asante would score goals for us and he didn't. He's scored better than a goal every other game for Chester in a higher division since like but still.

The great irony on here is that you are never ever wrong no matter what comes to pass. After our home defeat to Bromsgrove for example, I stated we might improve when injuries improved and you launched in about not making excuses regards missing players.

My absolute favourite was when you made up some bollocks about us having the 5th highest budget in the Conference North.

Just admit it occasionally. We all make some right clangers on here from time to time. It'll be a better place and yes, if we win the league in April, I'll happily say, well done you called it well before me.

My chickens still aren't being counted although, as said on another thread, Laity's return has boosted my confidence.
