Sums up the non-league game - almost any league team and their fans coming down to NL don't really care about this competition. But hey : Christmas bonus reduced prices tomorrow.. Loads and loads of goals for both teams in last 4 games so 0-0 . Nope going for 2-2. Mrs Argus says same.

OH HUM! - 45 minutes from ground - called off but still better than Gateshead several years back. The rights and wrongs for game to go on could get into a Bond movie but when decision was made at 10.30 for game to go on and team coach went they (AFCH) were liable for at least £650? to pay for it. What about the fans on bus - as usual Fans bus organsiers stumped up with a great gesture - a free trip to Nuneaton - Bunney the coach driver gave his collection back to us- seriously guys this man has been and will always be a star. Over to you HALIFAX!! Joke !!! Free admission !! In your dreams!!

Andy Burns would love to show Barrow they made a mistake letting him go which has been to our benefit, I don't think he's had a poor game yet and is always competitive.

Billy here - I have said before you get a 'Fans player of the year' on your books - you have a bloody bargain! - look at defence PRESTON - BELSHAW - BURNS - STRONG - TOMMO - seriously guys/girls - this defence could hold its own in a next league up and we have got lucky with what we have because of circumstances! Let's hope we can make the best if it.

Sorry to be proved right Argus 7. Wasnt at the game tonight so i cant comment on how we performed or how the goals occurred. Our defensive record in Conference North is pretty good i grant you. However there is a big difference in class overall between our league and Conference Premier. There were worry signs for me in the Worcester game when the ball was played over the top of our defence on three or four occasions and we look rather suspect against pace. Better finishing by the opposition could have cost us that day and on other occasions this season. That said, 1 defeat in our league aint bad at all to be fair, so its not all doom and gloom. I think we just need to be realistic as to where we are really at at this stage.

Tommo didnt play in defence which i believe is where the problem is. An awful clearance from Heaton led to one of their goals - he was poor and should take a seat on the bench for Saturday. Ross Dyer was non existent last night too, why Andy didn't go 2 up front earlier on I'll never know.

Only one team appeared up for the game last night and it certainly wasn't us. They signified their intentions with the heavy challenge on Belshaw early doors. Defensively we looked like we were running on quick sand very slow and laboured, no confidence on the ball. Whilst very much a flair player Durrell at least gave us a chance of turning the game. Dyer was non existent because he lacks pace and we were lumping long balls over the top for him to chase , he won a fair few headers but no-one was within 20 yards each time he knocked it down. Halifax definitely weren't 5 goals better than us and if we had converted the good chances we had it may have been a lot closer. Man Of the match for me was Halifax number 18 Wroe , we never handled him all night and not condoning foul play it surprised me none of our defenders took one for the team early on to keep him quiet. Agree with the two upfront when Mettam came on we had more movement.

l'll fetch me dad. Oh, yes. And l'll fetch mine.

Bad result but real progress in the Trophy will only hinder a promotion push, not too worried about that, but need a reaction Saturday in what is a pretty big game.

Vital game this week-end - need to come away with a draw at least. Worried about travelling all way up there and finding just Dyer up front - and packing midfield with defenders or defensive minded players.

Think Tuesdays result brings us down to earth  Don't think we are ready for promotion yet so another seaon in this division would be more benificiai than struggling in the premier.Just being realistic.
