Bit worrying that the manager has scored, the winner and one that gave us a draw ?

Results mean nothing over preseason, but at least the gaffer is in great goal scoring form!!

They're not the be all and end all no; gaining match fitness and developing an understanding of the team formation/tactics are. Also a perfect time to vet trialists which AM has been doing... However, going into a new season I'd prefer to have a string of wins going into the opening game than not as it breeds a winning mentality. I also find it slightly disconcerting our strikers have struggled to find the back of the net over the previous three friendlies. A new striker for me is a must if TFC are serious about trying to get out of the division. We can't be relying on a 41 year old player manager to bag us some points game after game! LOL

Still time left to get in a first choice main striker - and this could well be the difference between us finishing anywhere close to play-offs once again or a mid-table postion without one. Me thinks this will be a tougher league next season and teams above us will have strengthened much more than us. Losing ED and Strong's goals have to be replaced some where!

Good run out against Mansfield under 21's today. Newts 1st goal. Briscoe 2nd and dyer the third. Good to see the under 21 squad being utilised. Pacey looks a very good midfielder, never gives the ball away and always looks positive 1st. Kai never played today but looked descent at right back. All this means that the future looks bright for the lambs.
