Hardly inspiring so far, but it's only fair on AM to wait and see what the squad looks like at the start of the season. At the moment it looks like the same as last season but without the best keeper in the league and Danny Newton who scored 29 goals and was just amazing. Just a little worried at the moment, but hoping for some great signings soon.

+1 IOM - As it currently stands we have lost (Bells) and losing (Wasp) the the only 2 players who make the Best of TFC team since l started watching in 2003 from lasts years squad. AM will need to buy 'decent' just to stand still in my opinion. To progress he will need to sign 4 top draw players al least - still time but me thinks it will be a Herculean Task.

Just read DN comments on TFC Website - he's gone guys - Going full time is the key for him - will be offered chances even at our current level - pace is a premium at any level and with better coaching and a style to suit him - playing to feet why would he want to stay with us - said months ago we would look back at DN reign and say what absolute     opportunity lost for us in playing hoof to him - ok at home fine but away how many times did it not work - good luck mate - your have been one of the best

Andy Brownsigned for Brackley

Just waiting comment from Youth that's it's all our fault on here with all that negativity why ABs signed for Brackley and not us - £ me thinks - not stepping out of that box this year guys - just waiting our chance again when to PUSH [}: - a competitive budget is all well and good (if that's all we've got) in the hands of a manager with acrimimum - oh hum!

Andy Brown was always likely to sign for Brackley. Played under Wilkin at Nuneaton. They are the only players Wilkin seems to know

What Rainbow - fortunately you didn't see many of the appalling away performances last season and we've lost our best 2 players since - let's see who we sign and will make judgements yes - but worried where we are going and another nothing season - l am intitled to my opinion NWL and just maybe AM has it in hand or maybe not and bloody hope it's sorted out before we kick that ball you mention! - still time but seriously doubting.

I've seen more bad and mediocre performances from Tfc than good over a lot longer time than you will ever see, players when I started going were at the club on average 5 seasons or more, your supporting a non league team that will never in my life time make the football league, lean to live with it and enjoy it for what we are, above average non league team.
Would love to see us back in the National league at some time, but it might take us a little longer than some are peppered to wait. Looking forward to some of next season away games. Might even buy you a pint lf you can stick with it.

Don't expect Yellow Brick Road to League 2 - never have done NWL - not sustainable either however what l do expect is a competitive team in the National League North which in my opinion is just about our rightful level - others may disagree- - at the moment and early-ish days we have a squad which will struggle next season - we may be bombarded that we are 'Spring Lamb' off the pitch l will not enjoy following 'Mutton' on it .As you say let's wait a bit..

It isn't even about challenging for promotion for me, I hope we are but mid table is what I expect, however, there is no way that I am prepared to watch the dross football that we put up with last season, especially as Argus mentioned, away from home. And before you all tell me to f### off and watch Barcelona, I don't expect that sort if football either, just some attacking imagination, a bit if pace and a desire to entertain at the level that we are in. is that too much to ask?

I don't usually stick up for AM,but nobody seems to be giving him the benefit of the doubt regards next season, let's face it,the season has barely finished, and already were out of next seasons run in according to some fans on here. You can bet your life that AM has got his eye on a couple of strikers and will try to lure them to the Lamb within the next few weeks.like I said earlier, let's give it a bit more time before we call for his head and see what he comes up with, after all,the chap needs a holiday like all of us.

totally agree Bert.
He has even said in the Herald, he got things wrong  last year by rushing into signings.
Also, he is still waiting on Newts, who  I heard they made a fantastic offer to to stay. If he didn't get a full time club but we have blown the budget already then we would have no chance of getting him back!
Having 10-11 players  by June 1 is not a bad position to be in.
I remember one season under Mills we only had Adie Smith  by this point!

Do you not think finishing  just outside the play-offs three years in a row is 'competitive'  then?

Give AM credit, we are all hoping that Newt's stays with us, but it was AM who brought him to the club in the first place. So let's see what happens, in this Vardy farce, after all who would put there name to this media lead trials, but will not be there himself as he will be with England.
Great planning on the dates.
Will Vardy be recommending players on video evidence ?

Resigning a good mix of first choice starters and reliable squad players.
We do need to make a number of signings of starter/match winners, so let's wait and see, according to Judgered we have made some, so if you are in the know give us some clues, like their initials, which would keep us guessing but start a great thread.
Just a thought

New signing,

It's on Twitter that we have signed Bradley Reid, a 20yr old
striker who has been released by
Wolvehampton, He has represented Wales at youth level.

He's also played for Telford, and you'll never believe it, he's also been on loan to wolves from WREXHAM.The mind boggles,is this the best AM can do.

Highrise for gods sake calm down - this is not our 'PUSH SEASON' - prove me wrong AM and l will eat Highrise's hat - bit smaller than mine after all - some one mentioned recently on here that we were going to sign a striker this month which would be mind boggling- just hope today wasn't the one - sign a Youth umpteen leagues up the pyramid or a proven striker even one league and its a 'RISK' - unless you have CONTACTS - over to you Pricey my old mate

Wasn't on loan to Wolves ... they bought him for more than  £200,000. They obviosuly saw something in him. Why are you judging a player you haven;t seen play?

Negus don't let us stop you, keep walking maybe you will end up back at Swindon.
I am a very proud Tammy and it's great to see so many young players wearing the Shirt, which hopefully will see some making it to the first team squad.
Looking forward to seeing Reid play, could hit the ground running, with goals galore dreaming maybe, but not pre-judging.

Haven't a pot to piss in budget wise?. Not so sure about that!. I think our budget is better than a few teams in this league, so no excuse for not getting a couple of decent players. But don't we have this debate every season?. Still early days yet, a few players on hollibobs, not committing themselves, waiting to see what's on offer. Just wait & see what happens, you never know AM might find another Newts!.

Argus I have seen and heard you and many games over the years, (except when your away during the season) and certainly not questioning your loyalty to TFC since (quote 2002) as a newby, just wished we could arract more of the same.
Over the years we have had some great occasions most recently Everton, but never really been able to increase our gates. If through having more junior players at the club it bring more supporters from an early age, who feel the same passion as we do, because they played for the club, it will grow on solid foundations.

IOM - your comment in banter and in tune with thread - Moving on however before political involvement RWB would still be involved in a genuine honour to those fallen - just a shame those within town and to be fair from outside - bikers and many other supportive groups included can no longer honour the brave and the dead - makes supporting TFC and anything else we do to be so secondary

Getting back to what BY said about attracting young supporters to the club,it's true we are lacking in young support, and the reason for that is because the members committee ban them for doing what young fans do,eg,a bit of banter with the opposing fans, adds to the atmosphere of a game, but the young fans we get aren't even allowed to do that.

That a different side to the idiots I have stood by and moved away from throw flares, hitting a steward, trying to start a fight on our own car park, arrested for breaking the toilet away at Stockport . Personnely I am glad they were banned and I hope it's for a long time.

Now getting back to the fans who do give banter great. I still enjoy it at my ripe age which is part of the entertainment, the funny comments, one off quips, and that's who I hope keep coming and we can build on, not the idiots, who I have given a whole paragraph to, which is far to much space.

Keep your shirt on BY,I was referring to the lads who were having a great time at Kiddy even though we were getting hammered, they were taking loads of abuse off the home fans and when they gave some back they were singled out by our do good committee personal and made a spectacle of in front of all of us.What were they supposed to do,stand there sucking there thumbs and thinking, yeh your right Kiddy fans we are a bunch of w-----s,we were all young once BY and I know I never took any crap off anyone,I don't know about you.

Totally agree Highrise, although I do have to have my bob martins now,, instead of doc martins, (see what I did there Argus) .
The committee organise the travel. and are not officials of the club, although they like to pretend they are. Must not say to much. It could be me next time. Those you refer to are still at the games except the ones mentioned previously

All kids need to be encouraged, non league gives great enjoyment, highs and lows, but still good value for there money at TFC under 16's for £2 or a quid it you buy a season ticket, and bring a great atmosphere.
Enough promoting the club, I will get band off here.

I must say what the youngsters are charged entrance fee, I'm really surprised that there isn't a lot more of them taking advantage of it,cos for a couple of quid for an hour and half entertainment (sometimes) what more do they want, and it isn't a bad deal for us pensioners either.Never had a pair of Doc Martin's BY,had a pair of winkle pickers though, now its nose pickers, you know to get rid of those grey hairs that hang down on a frosty day.
