I have to admit that I like what Bob has to say in this article. Positive, forward thinking and enthusiastic but within realistic boundaries. I'm even feeling a little more optimistic now about the new season

It's nice to read all the positives, but how may more clubs are saying the same ,
we missed the opportunity to progress when we first made the Conference and then completely bugerd up on the second attempt, a lot of off field activities may not make up for the on field ones , the five year plane will depend on improving the team more than floodlights and covering the castle end for a few when results aren't going well, still I will look on the bright side for now, Tfc will always be in my blood and heart for as long as they hold out.looking forward and not backwards as ever

I remember a similar article a few years ago. Hope it come to fruition this time.
I am a firm believer in either facilities or money will attract players. We obviously don't have the same first team budget as other clubs so this would be a wise move.
Although i preferred the previous suggestion of putting the current main stand on the castle end and a new stand on the car park side maybe with dressing rooms etc underneath the stand

Why is it Mr Andrews all of a sudden,is again gonna find 1000s for ground improvements while most fans are moaning about the managers players budget and the team builder committee crying out for more members to dip into there pockets. These improvements have been on the cards for years. How about giving the manager a few grand Bob instead of the fans giving all the while.Lets get a title winning squad together first, get the fans back, then build, build ,build.

He's not finding thousands though is he? The club are working getting grants, which should be easier now they are a 'community club'.  You can't get grants for strengthening your first team!

Happy there is a 100% consenus from Bob, AM and MF that the football in recent seasons have been pretty poor - some on here have been saying that over and over again but ridicuiled by the 'coffee smealers' - anyway if we are going to finish half way in table prefer that we play attacking football than the fodder served up in recent years. Not sure about 5 year plans though - look what it did to those pesky Russians

Our current 'player budget' has to increase if we have any chance to regain our conference position - without grants will push back hope for yet another season at least. Don't think we have a real chance of increasing gates by 180 as mentioned by Sir Bob. Only hope as l see it is when Bob gets back his £ return from his pitch investment/contrbution we may an extra £200k from renting out pitch etc and additional activities to put into player pot each season hence 5 year plan. Wherever we finish can see AM being around for many many years to come but won't repeat whether he has ability/skills to get us up anyway whatever the budget - we all have opinions

AM not the man for me.

I can't believe we have just played our last friendly and he still don't know his strongest team.

Nobody has been ridiculed and I don't remember anyone writing how wonderful football has been.
It's about balancing expectations, Argus. What are you judging the standard of the last 2 years on exactly????

Before those, it was f**king rank under Belford, Lyttle, Law and in parts, Mills.
You have to go way back about 10 years to Coop's and possibly Gee's sides to remember entertaining football. Football as a whole has moved on and sides are way more professional in all aspects now.

I am slightly worried about this season too
