Why is AM not utilising the local network of teams around us. It is obvious we have not got a budget so why not get the players in early on loan for the season. Boro do, Solihull moors do, I even read heather St. John's did last year with a blues player.

We had foxy from burton Albion, an injuried fox from Leicester then Powell came from Wrexham. What is wrong with AM going to Coventry, who he used to play for and getting ponticelli the young striker who scores goals at every level. Why not forge a partnership with Coventry it's a club he knows well. Or bite the bullet and forge a partnership with villa they have a very good academy.

I know he said about joint forces with Walsall but things are said then nothing happens.

I  heard  Ponticelli  was asked about ... clubs have to want to send them out first.

It was odds on that Wasp was going but whilst accepting AM had to leave a major chunk of his budget in case he didn't surely a manager with decent contacts must have had a PLAN B-C or D in the event of him going eventually - how many weeks has it been now since the Wasp left? - getting more and more frustrated with AM and his inability in the availability market! - god dam it even the Mystic has inferred in her polite rose garden coffee smelling garden non fickle way that we may need a striker

So you are writing off Knights and Reid without a ball being kicked in anger?
Incidentally, is Styche written off too? Scored 4 goals pre-season despite an injury

Well neither have done anything to impress or give hope pre-season have they?

Come on Ben - Knights will be a great asset and a shame he can't work/aid a 'Scoring Striker' such as the Wasp - but surely you not telling me he was ever intended as a Wasp replacement - just look at his goals per game ratio if in doubt? - as to Reid - if you really think he's the answer l wonder about your judgement

Knights will chip in with a few but isn't a striker. I think Reid may surprise a few if he gets a run in the team. I do like styche but does seem to be a different type of player to when we had him a few seasons back.

Not saying he's the answer but will wait until he play a proper match as opposed to 45 minutes here and there

No problem with Styche unlike many on here - when in the mood he will turn games but they don't come on a regular basis unfortunately because he gets side tracked in unneeded battles with opposition and ref- best assist is working in a pair up front and he still needs a quality partner but hey ho hum Ben.

Morrell has "irons in the fire" so let's wait and see

Don't hold your breath.

4 days and counting Bench - till we get a striker who Knights can service with his good touches

Morell quoted developing links with Aston Villa, so that's Walsall, wolves and now Aston Villa. Stop spouting rubbish and admit these are just pipe dreams. If heather can get loan players from blues why can't tamworth.

Surely you must realise that the type of player required for this league is miles apart from Heather. The player we must look at have to be first team fringe players, like AV's number 7 & 9, quick and sharp. Which they may loan out once they sort out their squad, as with Fox from Burton, did not get him until it had kicked off.
Have patience!

Heather have had no one from Blues.
They signed a lad on loan last season called Remeo Hutton from Hednesford, who later got sold to Blues from Hednesford.
Incidentally, not sure why you say he hasn;t utilised Wolves contacts .. he has signed Ash Carter and Anthony Breslin from there in past to years. Also taken Reid, Upton, Sinclair since their release this summer.

Ash Carter is playing for Alvechurch at step 4 believe it or not. Out of those 5 players mentioned I don't think any of them are good enough for a step 2 club

I agree, which is why AM is not utilising those contacts much. How many young loan players have we had who have been a success? Baldock, Dom smith .... ?

2 signings made I believe today

Baldock, Dom smith, Ben Fox, Heaton

Yussuf, Wilson not with us long enough

Need to be quality firepower if we are to make any headway this season or as said before first team will just become a side show to all the other TFC activities

First time round maybe. Was awful  second time. Ben Fox is a good shout though

Getting seriously despondent - after AV23s slammed us AM said would love to sign a couple of them - get off your arse Sir - sometimes you have to actually make an effort to get in players who will make a difference who you don't have to scout from a few feet! - hope James the 2 players you mention are actually goal-scorers and not defenders as AM previously mentioned 1 from Wolves - happy to eat HR hat and be proved wrong

Judging by the team photo it will be Walters, Upton and Stevens

Yeah just saw that. No new faces for Saturday if that's anything to go by. Heard Rathbone  gone to Coleshill as well

the keeper isn't Stevens, a new lad signed from Shrewsbury

I believe the keeper is Shaun Rowley

Played at Chorley last season I read. Think we needed it.
Guess we wait and see regarding a striker

Played out of his skin against us and talking to Chorley fans who we have sat next to during last 3 away games there and they absolutely loved him to bits - can see him between our posts till at least December

Sounds promising Argus. Not sure about you but I don't think Jezeph is quite ready. Promising but still a lot to learn, so think this is a good move

Hard act to follow after Bells but think Jez long term is an ok bet but what do l know- short term however in happy land here with new keeper - really can't see how he's still being loaned out to be fair to him but our gain Ben me thinks

What happened to last night's "expected" new arrivals?

Posted By: Argus9
Date Posted: 04 Aug 2017 at 5:38pm
Patience TP - you must know AM transfer strategy by now - following the Fox fiasco last season and having just signed Sam Coulson who's currently injured maybe the potential new signings aren't in that condition yet - give it time - only a joke guys

Think the wording on the club's twitter is to blame sometimes. From what I hgeard,  the ones signing last night were just the likes of Aaron Opoku, John Dodd etc.

Joking aside - so that's it - no new striker and a obviously no additional impact striker on bench to make a difference when coming on - sorry guys AM has had plenty of time to sort since Wasp departure.
