Bit negative... what about avoiding the big puddle at the Castle end after the game.

Oh in all the excitement I forgot that. Was also told couldn't get in that end and had to walk all the way back to get in at the away end to get in the stand.

Thought l really had to keep it on simple terms - apoligises another slip in my judgement of people but hey we still have a common goal - maybe you should look up a definition of goal because me thinks AM will need assitance without additions upfront

Well on previous post I predicted a 3-0 win and a stroll in the Park, unfortunately it was more like "MacArthur Park" someone defiantly left the cake out in the rain. So I just trust AM "will never have that recipe again"!.
Rowley uncertain about him, Go to straight back 4, Morley, Jones, Upton and Burns, (Lane very poor again) play 3 in midfield who I thought was very good today, Verma, Deeney and Knights, Powell, Styche and Reid up front
A must win against Leamington to get us under way.
On a plus the pitch was brilliant would never have know it had rained for 4 hours and hailed until just before kick

Come on you Lambs

Thought lane was fine .. uncertain in what way about Rowley? He had nothing to do

Lane was very poor. Every header went straight to the opposition and got caught in possession a few times. As for Morley he is an absolute liability and nowhere near good enough for us. We also need CF.
As for the only positive was the Deeney Verma partnership who were the best players on the pitch.
The most telling part of today's game was the fact that it took 77 mins to make a change. And rather than just personnel we changed formation which is like ripping the whole pre season up. And then bringing an 18 year old who couldn't get into Romulus' team, I know he's young but just shows how weak we are in depth

What did Rowley do wrong? Lane didn't have the best of games but doesn't deserve to be dropped. I thought first have we were pretty good and should of gone in a couple up but second not so good. I don't think we're too far away and with Powell to come back plus maybe 1 or 2 additions who knows. It could be worse and we could of lost 4-0 like our rivals down the a5.

Styche was definitely the worst player on the pitch,he wants a good kick up the backside or getting rid of,all he did yesterday was moan at the ref, fall down, and miss a sitter. He committed lots of fouls and then pleaded his innocence. He let the side down badly.

Just to highlight our deficiencies Danny Newton scored for Stevenage yesterday.

Afternoon all! How we all doing this fine Sunday? Mixed feelings on yesterday. How we didn't win that game I will never know, well actually I do know, we didn't score. I don't want to make any excuses as we missed a great chance when styche set up knights who should have bust the net, but the referee was an absolute shambolic excuse for an official. I counted 3 definite penalties and countless fouls we didn't get, he had no control over the game and was completely out of his depth. First half I thought we were tremendous we moved the ball well and constantly looked a threat, second half we went back into default mode of last season. Needlessly giving the ball away and trying to force play. I see the bashers of Morley Styche etc are out after the first game, change the record for once. Nobody yesterday had a below average game in my opinion. It's a shame the majority are just hell bent on slagging the team off at every opportunity and in particular management and individual players. Here goes..."we have been watching this rubbish for years" "we pay our money to watch this garbage" "AM is out his depth" Have a day off please.

All about opinions Mystic. You say nobody was below average yesterday, I beg to differ. I thought Deeney was slow and lazy and Styche was just garbage. I do however agree that the ref was appalling and missed the 3 handballs in the box, 2 of which seemed so obvious it was farcical. As a team in the first half we passed well with some good movement but the second half was some old same old. In summary, some good football but powderpuff up front, I'm more than a bit worried.

You are right it is about opinions and if you thought deeney was slow and lazy you must have watched a completely different game to me. Him and Verma were brilliant in midfield, Bradford, especially first half couldn't get near the two of them, with regards to Styche no matter what he does he won't be liked here, like deeney because of how he plays but I have said this time and again you won't find me slagging players off on here regardless of how good or bad they are. I come to support the team as a whole win lose or draw. Just feel we need another body up front with experience to give us another option to what we already have. Who is out there?

1 What options to we actually have up front currently in terms of goal-scorers?
2 Wasp was always going - how many months did AM need to source a replacement or maybe 2 to cover his absence?
3 Who is out there? - am l missing something here but a major part of any Managers CV is the ability to source? - you and me may not gave a clue who's available but sure as hell freezes over a Manager lives or dies on that very sword

Styche, Reid, Knights, Powell.

I think I may be right in saying only twice in a season has any of them scored 10+ goals. Styche for FGR and Powell at Rugby?
