All depends on whether Styche turns up or not. If he does going for a 2-2. Mr Argus agrees with me - which is probably the first time in 40 years of marriage this has ever happened - gate 641 - 642 if Pod makes an appearance and more importantly allowed in

Hoping for a win but fearing a draw or worse. Heart says 2-1 but head 1-2...

641 it is then! Haven't managed to get down yet this season. I've been pulled back towards the Villa via AVTV... With a subscription and little location spoofer it is possible to watch all of their un-televised games live in the UK.

I suppose if you lead an active life a highlights package would be be better value in terms of Villa games - after all we can all spare 2 minutes to watch them

Bloody hell Pod, how will we ever tempt you back. How can we compete against the exciting, winning football that the Villa serve up. Not only do you choose to watch it, you actually pay a subscription for the privilege. Fair play to you though, that shows real dedication to a lost cause

Oh, almost forgot, another 2-1 win tomorrow, Verma and Taylor to score, Taylor will then be subbed. Crowd, 744 + pod who will be there in spirit :)

Follow on from Tuesday night albeit against 10men and I reckon it's 2-0 to us.

Good to win playing total football listening to live radio commentary - Deeney with us playing it on floor and with Verma along side he's a different class over last season - key test next week now with Harrogate scoring for fun - will we be able to outscore them with the Bells in goal - couldn't do it at Blyth - won't be boring I'm sure I

I have criticised them this season but they did play well today. We seemed to sit back for the 1st 20 minutes of the 2nd half but the 4 goals were excellent. I don't think we will see any better than Morleys strike.

CG - your just covering your arse getting in first bit like myself before the perverbial sh*t hits that very big fan from the coffee smellers - to be fair looks like we will be up and down in terms of results week in and out - can't see it being boring this year compaired to last few seasons though

What a fantastic win and performance for the majority of the game. Played football on the floor which led to some brilliant goals. Happy for the young lad Reid to come and score, looked all at sea for the first 20 minutes but took his goal well. As mentioned the proper tests will come over the bank holiday weekend. Fingers crossed for 4 points minimum. I think this will give us a realistic view on where we could end up come end of the season. Have a good weekend.

After today's display my very low opinion of Styche hasn't changed but my opinion of Reid has gone up. He played well today after a slow few minutes early in the second half. Brave of AM to make the change at half time I thought.

Should now play Reid from the start, Stych just can't keep his mouth shut, now Reid has scored we might see a few more. Guys payed well today,

Two stunning strikes from Morley were the highlights of a very good first half display in which we kept a much higher line and gave Curzon little space.First 20 mins after break we sat back and allowed Curzon to pose a few problems but a change of personnel got us firing again with two more excellent goals.Pity about the visitors late goal but cant let this distract from a very good display.Midfield looking very good .

FootyDave Redblooded wasn't you saying how Reid wasn't good enough during pre season? And having just looked through comments against blyth and Boston why no comments regarding how well styche played for those two games? Doesn't fit with your personal vendetta against him? Or for that matter how brilliant Morley was today? Or how AMs tactics of stopping Curzon playing and limiting them to long balls and how we have won two on the bounce? I couldn't care less who plays well and who doesn't as long as we win I can go to the pub a happy man and enjoy my weekend.

Also special mention to Verma and Deeney who are going from strength to strength. Think they are the key to us doing well this year, if they aren't on it the team don't perform. Verma has seemed to bring the best out in Deeney. Both calm on the ball and are prepared to do the dirty work off it. Well done team builder for helping bring him in.

And l just thought we could move on Mystic and it hurts no mention of me in the sledging - however Styche with extra responsibility without the Wasp and great performances todate agreed still can't leave out winding up their player sent off - why the did he have to verbally abuse him after sending off whilst in dug out?- so we have him as a footballing head case in an attempt to let his ability come out (hence why our top scorer taken off at half time) or Reid - no offence today but if we play him as a main choice striker we ain't going anywhere but average - much better today and have to build upon it please because Styche and Reid are it with honey 🍯 pot empty

I'm sorry Argus I'm unsure what you're referring to with the sending off? I just accept him for what he does on the pitch and to date he is certainly doing what he is paid to do. But I don't think he is pivotal to how we perform I strongly believe that's in our midfield. It's good to see goals being shared out all over the team with Morley Reid and knights scoring again. This takes the burden off the strikers to be that 25 goal a season striker. With Powell still to come back and Fox being bought in I think we are strong enough to compete, AT THE MOMENT! Ask me again end of September.

Mystic you naughty girl - thought you were going to the pub - lets chat at the end of a September as you say when we will indeed have a much better picture - maybe or after all that's football

Good win today, things might get interesting looking at today's results and the amount of goals in this league.

Didn't you read my earlier post Mysticpeg? It quite clearly states my opinion of Reid has changed after today's game. My opinion of Styche remains the same!!!
Considering you say you don't care who plays well and who doesn't and then go on to single out Morley as being brilliant seems a little contradictory.

As for not commenting on the Blythe and Boston games it would have been improper of me to comment on matches I was unable to attend.

Had to miss what seems to be a great win yesterday, just read a few positive comments and a few not so positive, all I can say is,let's hope we can keep this run going and score goals from anywhere on the pitch and who knows where we can end up.

We played well.
The midfield have been the difference all season.
Poor mans Craig Bellamy has such a mouth on him!!
Anyone know why he was subbed?!

Lovely to read the responses to the win yesterday. Couldn't make it. After looking at our goals for and against we still have a problem at the back. The four goals today makes us a little more respectable in the goal difference department. But while we are leaking goals in, our efforts to score more than we let in look a long way off when you see the quality of the teams above us. Was yesterday a one off in the goal scoring department? Like has been said a very much up and down looks our future this season. One positive Morley scoring and getting some recognition at last. He sits out on the left free as a bird in many, no, in all matches waiting to get the ball and take on defences. Well done. Harrogate will be a very good indicator if we have turned the corner and the team is gelling together.

Think Styche was subbed before he was sent off.Put a lot of effort in today but like Burns has to learn to keep his mouth shut.

Argus it seems Styche is this season replacement for Ross Dyer slating comments by you, even when you are not at the game. Styche has contributed very well so far, in scoring, winning free kicks & penalties, making opposition defenders work hard. I agree with wishing he could keep his mouth shut, but the same could be said about Burns, actual it is different, Styche argues on his own decisions Burns argues on everyone else's .

Thought we payed some great football yesterday, as we have tried to in every game this season, and it looks like it is coming together, admittedly a soft goal to give away again. The defence still needs work on it, but Ezewele, Upton and Lane are still very young and will get better as the season goes on.
Harrogate will be a test, but it's a marathon not a sprint.
Come on you lambs

The reason for my comment was, you said Styche why did he verbally abuse the sent off player whilst in the dug out !
Styche was not in the dug out for the second half as he was sub. at half time, and yes there player did crab Styche as he left the pitch

Mystic peg, didn't think much of Reid in pre season, & im not the only one to think that. I too have changed my opinion after Saturdays performance & having heard positive things about him from other quarters, it maybe that he will prove to be a shrewd signing once fully fit.

Still thing Stych is a liability, although he has/will win us a few penalties through out the season if not suspended.

Also Mystic Keith (It is Keith isn't it?, correct me if im wrong) I don't have personal vendettas against anyone. The forum is about opinions, these are mine, not always right, not always wrong. Glad players are proving me wrong if it helps the team.
