3-1 to us bouncing back something we will have to get used to again this season. A must win after Saturday and with NF coming up must start momentum- nothing less than 6 points from the 2 games will not be good enough if we have plans to even attempt to keep pace with leaders - with current squad yep can do that me thinks - gate 1041 - Mrs Argus says Desmond

I am one of this guys biggest critics, but he has shut me up big time today. What a complete performance from Reece Styche today, him and Deeney ran the show,It was a good all round performance from every one else as well.Reece, well played mate, you well deserved your man of the match award.

Couldn't make the game today, first home game I've missed in a long time. Sounds like a decent performance from us and that's 5 for styche now. Top 7 after 7 games isn't bad at all. Hopefully we can tighten up at the back and stay there.

A convincing win today which could have been bigger with better finishing.I think Styche is a bit like Marmite, you either love him or hate him but he certainly deserved his M O M award.Just need to sharpen up on our passing, find a bit of consistancy and we might have a season to enjoy.

I'll echo the same sentiments, Stych has gone way up in my estimation, thought he would be a real pain in the proverbial getting booked/sent off throughout the season. Still early days, but he played well & didn't overreact when fouled, missed a couple of chances, but scored a couple so can't complain.

Have to agree with Bert and Footy Dave, i too applaud Styche for an excellent performance yesterday in difficult conditions. As goldenoldie says, he is a bit like Marmite, you either love him or hate him. Thought we played very well after conceding early on, and thoroughly deserved our victory. Have to say that at the start of the season i didnt have great aspirations given the size of some of the clubs in this league and our budget compared to others. However am pretty satisfied with points return from first 7 games played. Although i dont get to go to many away games now due to work commitments and so cant comment on level of performance on our travels, i came away yesterday thinking that we maybe need to change our mindset and maybe formation in away games?. Its a concern that we have failed to keep a clean sheet and i think we maybe need to be a bit more defense minded on our travels. Conceding 4 at Blyth and 3 at Harrogate would suggest something isnt right on our travels, and there are many more tough places to go to. That isnt to detract from yesterdays performance however, play like that and we will win more than we lose at home. Maybe Bert or Argus who i know attend most away games can enlighten us as to why we have conceded so many thus far away from home, as if we can change this then play offs may well be a distinct possibility

Great win playing attacking football and that's it as far as this forum is obviously concerned - in terms of prediction and after match comment - Why do so few say so much and others moan about them taking over site yet they don't even bother to contribute - oh hum

Home and away points taken todate mirrors last season - strange as playing totally different football. Said previously we won't outscore many more than the poor away this season so yes agree we need to give more cover to the defence and change tactics as AM eluded to in his after match comments however just hoped we could continue same open football away against NF - capable in taking them to cleaners. Fear knowing our luck we change tactics and confuse our part time players - prefer to start on Tuesday me thinks against Brackley

Argus just for you because I know you like this sort of thing here are my "scores on the doors" from yesterday

1. Rowley - 7 Pretty solid game for him, claimed quite a few crosses comfortably and took that pressure off. Needs to sweep better though.
2. Burns - 7 Energetic as always got stuck in always Mr Consistent
3. Morley - 7 Again solid and got forward when he was able, defended loads better today.
4. Deeney - 8 Really starting to look the part now he has a capable midfielder beside him. Solid game.
5. Jones - 8 Rock at the back and is vital we keep him fit for whole season.
6. Lane - 7.5 After a shakey start settled in well and used the ball better as game went on.
7. Name Unknown - 7.5 Defended well and looked far more comfortable playing right side as opposed to left.
8. Verma - 8 Brilliant along side Deeney protects the ball well under pressure and looks to get forward when he can.
9. Styche - 8.5 Slow start for him but came into the game after 15 minutes. Could have scored more than 2 but played well as the game went on.
10. Reid - 8 Led the line well and took his goal brilliantly. Will do his confidence the world of good.
11. Knights - 8 Just edged out of MOM by Styche but is really showing class in that free role he has. Creates and scores.

Overall after going a goal behind we responded brilliantly and had numerous chances to put the game to bed but thought we managed the game well and like Morrell said in his interview we were very patient. Would hate to have saw this forum if we had suffered another beating like we did Saturday. But we need to build some kind of consistency if we are to stay in that top 7.
