Todate and looking forward to first game on Saturday it seems Deeney has to be our best performing player - many on here including me gob-smacked but our change in footballing approach has made a considerable difference - Burns- Verma- Styche not far behind

Watched every game, and for me Verma, quality first touch and class, which takes the pressure off Deeney allowing him space to distribute, and yes playing far better than last season, but Verma is the main man.
Hopefully Saturday is another good home performance and you enjoy, if not oh hum!

After seeing Verma and Denney working in tandom yesterday can see them becoming one of TFCs greatest ever midfield partnerships in my time (since 2001) - certainly since Cooper and McGorry (not sure correct spelling for later) - V&Ds distribution better but C&McG were total midfield enforcers and Coops had the goals. Will be interesting to compaire at the end of the season

I would say our key payer may turn out to be a goalkeeper, unless we find or already have a prolific goal scorer.

Both should be really up for it against United of Manchester after being effectively rested on Saturday

Not sure why everyone rates Deeney, only watched 2 games this year but looks exactly the same as last year, slow on the ball all the time! He can play the right ball usually okay, but thinks he's got 5 minutes on the ball when he gets it, gave kiddi there goal last Tuesday. Would deffo like a much sharper CM along side Verma, someone like Kerry or Bradley. Verma, Powell and Knights for me stand outs.
