Another difficult game on Tuesday evening, both Teams form are a bit up and down, so let’s hope it’s Teford who are down.
Q.
Will we have any new forwards in by then. I am hoping for two new strikers myself before the end of the week. Being greedy I know.

Going for a 1-3 away win. Knights, Verma, and another. could be a debutant. Fingers 🤞

Come on you Lambs

Dyer cheap and completely predictable in terms of AMs pulling power - look forward to seeing combo of Reid upfront with Dyer NOT - AMs got another year on his contract NWL so have to finish near relegation zone for Sir Bob to give AM the boot - get those fingers ready guys

so how do you put us individuals in any category, then again you could get rid of fourms and revert to sending a post to the Herald

Where has this Dyer thing come from? He retired from football. Is this from the same source that told you Callum Powell had left? Wink

Now that would be telling. As you say, he has retired, but, do you know if he has spoken of a return to the beautiful game?.

If he has, then wouldn't TFC be the obvious choice, given that we were his last club?.

Coton - you don't get forums and rumour mills do you - heard both rumours and felt it would be good to share as I'm such a nice person - without rumours and gossip sites like these would be dead certainly this one - both still can happen so just wait and see

Darlo fans are Adam ant that they didn’t pay 50k for Styche, perhaps we made them stand & deliver. 😂 perhaps we can’t afford Dyer after all.

AM said at the AGM that a bid had been accepted and personal terms agreed and would be with us this week, did not say who it was other that a striker.

Last night we played them off the park, Powell had a great chance with the keeper saving to easily, a number of efforts at goal. Second half again chances with one effort hitting the post and lifting into the air for Jack Lane to head in from a yard and he headed it on to the same post, and out for a goal kick.
We were sunk by an opportunist shot from outside the box and a another cock up from a throw in deep in our own half.
Bad result, but not a bad performance.
NWL try the pod cast.

Let's be logical about this situation. Would any decent striker leave a club now? No. Would any decent striker leave for money? Yes. Do we have the money to pay for a decent striker? Unknown. If we have why not keep what we have. Or didn't we want to keep Styche. The answers are out there.

Styche (a decent striker) would have been on decent wages plus we got a fee for him - so the answer must be yes Bof - if not assume money available following Styche transfer will be used elsewhere and not on players

Am i missing the point here, but whilst i agree that a striker is required, its at the other end that concerns me more. An inability to keep clean sheets and consistently gifting goals to the opposition seems to be the order of the day. 3 clean sheets in the league so far this season and None at home suggests problems. As someone said,"Strikers win you games, defences win you titles". I'm far from impressed with any of our central defenders, and cant believe the amount of times we make individual errors, and fail to mark players, particularly at set pieces. Last year we lay a lot of blame for this on our poor midfield, but this year i think thats our strong point. On the subject of midfield the first thing i would do if i was AM would be to look to extend the loan of Ben Fox if at all possible. I think that kid has come on leaps and bounds and will continue to get better. Maybe others will disagree, but for me,until you get a better defence we will continue with the sort of yo yo season we are experiencing and most likely miss out again on the play offs

Not sure where he is based but I remember him causing us all sorts of problems last year and if I remember correctly he would have played for Morrell in the North vs Marines game

Perhaps it’s a ploy - sign him and makes even Reid look better

Scored 5 for Salisbury on a months loan which has just finished, so Claridge must have seen something and it it worked, just hope he can do the same for us.
