Being paid nothing, he was signed on non-contract forms. Not match fit  yet so out on loan getting games.

If he is not fit fair enough.however must agree with Argos9 ideal for wing back as our present two are fullbacks and offer little threat as attackers.

Yes agree Argus @Well Done Team Builder” keep the fantastic support going.

Seriously I agree Morley is going backwards week after week, hardly ever overlaps a player, just stops and watches the play always passes side ways or back towards the central two, and Burns not much better, but does put a lot of effort in, but that will not win games.

BPA will be a tough game tomorrow if on. Going for a 1-3 away win.
When is this other striker coming in?, can only assume January (perhaps in the Sales)

Come on you Lambs

Think Morley’s recent performances have been Desperate Dan - an even unfit Strong slowly getting match fit with cover on bench has to be better than a Morley going backwards - well he’s certainly not going forwards

Strong gone then - good news then we have Morley for at least another 5 years or until AM goes - just hope Morley’s watch wants him to return home much sooner than later - - about time he actually delivered on pitch starting tomorrow please

Bad news as far as I’m concerned, should have replaced Morley weeks ago!. What is AM thinking?.

Don’t get the NOT joined up approach which centers on youth youth youth within the club but when push comes to shove AM bottles it once again against Youth - sign 2 more covering loan players - Just a reminder out there to this mans indecision- he went to Team Builder wanting money to bring Stong in - they said NO on basis he wouldn’t be played against his love child the watch time keeping Morley - what happened Curtis never played for than ten or so minutes - about opinions excepted but don’t come back out there about match fitness - easy way out he was never given a chance [ IMG]smileys/smiley19.gif" align="middle[/IMG]

I think he hears the calls from the fans and has released him to stop us from behind able to question Morley

He was recalled for this weekend with the intention of playing I believe but Strong refused, wanted to stay with Nantwich, so was de-registered. His choice.

You’re telling me Morrell told him he was going to be recalled to the first 11 and he said no I want to stay and play in the Evostik

Of course he would Dan - fast becoming TFC attorney for the Defence of AM - sounds like he’s able to walk on water according to you - today he didn’t and HIS team sank in a sea of undiluted sh*t. Please defend that one your honour and one other - took off both his replacement strikers for the Wasp and Styche and put midfielders in their place on field -sorry says it all for me - obviously you will view it so different and please give us the inner sanctum insight into how the brain 🧠 of AM works if he actually has one

Not defended anyone .. just saying what I had heard. And, incidentally, all I said was that it was Strong's decision not to come back. That is not attacking him. I understand why he decided to stay at Nantwich.
If you don't want me to pass on snippets I hear about signings etc. I won't bother.

Up to you but don’t upset Youth if you do stamp your feet and walk away but if you can’t take banter your choice mate off you go - and now please on views of the day

Morley today, not impressive in the slightest. Honourable mention to Reid also who stood and strolled around for most the game, and Kotwica just lacks any confidence in front of goal. Then again, we won't win many games if we need three goals to even get a point like we have needed recently. Just awful.

Morley looks so disinterested !!
Confidence literally on the floor at present
Idea opportunity for Nuneaton to get our the relegation zone....just like last year!

Not sure their confidence is that high either to be fair.

Think Morley is becoming a scapegoat as well.  He's not playing well but was no worse than anyone else today.

Get off his back Hallam - we all get worried about what we will get as presents on the 25th - he’s obviously hoping for a watch

Why single out morley,he was no worse than the rest of them.Complete lack of passion on and of pitch. When will the board comment on the home performances or is the income from our artificial grass keeping them happy.Suppose a successful first team could become surplus to requirements if that is the case and the Lamb would just nurture young players for other clubs.Great.

I singled out Morley as this is a thread about Curtis Strong, who could and probably should still be with us. He wasn't the only poor player today though. Remarkable that no one singles out Jones, who has led the backline of a defence that concedes minimum 2/3 goals every game. Darlo was very very fortunate, they missing a hatful of chances.

Ok - here we go - Jones is by nature slow and ponderous but that’s never been a problem as a central defender - look at Redmille- you dont committ and they don’t get by you and Matt was the king in that department- you actually had to own a sat-nav as a player to get round the man - neither him or Jones however were and are leaders of the line in attitude or talk

Doesn't seem to be in any talkers, leadership or nastiness throughout the team. Not sure where you find that  at this stage of the season but sure needed

Certainly difficult at this stage Argus. Find yourself signing young loan players generally and a  Ben Fox is great but how many  of them are there?

I'm with you 100% tfcfan1 in your assessment re Jones. Considering he's meant to be the leader/organiser and the experience of the defence yesterdays performance sums it up really, particularly the joke of a third goal. In fairness, its not just him but the worrying thing is that regardless of how the likes of he,Morley and 1 or 2 others play their place never seems under threat. My feelings on our defence are well documented. Many weeks back i highlighted that we had essentially the same back 4 Burns, Morley, Jones and Lane as last year at which time we chose to blame a poor midfield for lack of protection as being the main reason as to why we conceded so many goals last season. Fast forward to this season and despite adopting a change in formation initially, the same mistakes as last year continue to be made, individually and collectively.. Yesterday was the fourth game running where we have conceded 3 goals and the eighth time in total this season where 3 or more have been let in. How on earth can you seriously expect to challenge for promotion when that happens. The eternal optimists will point out that we are still in and around the play offs, but if they believe that we will seriously be in with a chance of going up they are deluded. Whilst i agree that we need a good striker, the priority for me is sorting out this awful defence which AM seems incapable of doing. I take no pleasure in predicting that 1 of the better teams in this league will hammer us at some point if better defenders arent somehow brought in, and even worse, that that lot down the A5 will beat us both games over the xmas period as usual which would be even harder to swallow. Prove me wrong TFC and i will happily eat humble pie

Need a dynamic manager who can shake this lot up,has lots of friends in the game who will loan us decent players, and inspire this team. AM has completely lost it.We need 40 points from 20 games.

The two extra playoff places have done AM a massive favour. Would look even more bleak had they not been there.

Won't need 71 points for top seven in my opinion

History tells us that 9 defeats and over 70 points gets 7th spot.Last season it was 73 points. We have already lost 9 games. How many games do you think we can afford to lose in the second half of the season bearing in mind the amount we need to win? What is your points total we need and your permutation (WDL) to achieve it?

Posted By: tfcfan1

65 at a rough guess, it's been very open so far with teams taking points off each other. Probably why we actually aren't too far away from the relegation zone.

Last year was unusually high. Over last ten years, seventh has always been below 70, apart from last season. It's been as low as 63 (us) ... 65/66 is the average
