applies to more than 1st team though I guess..? They've taken  a fair few from wolves, blues, Manfield and walsall who are now in  our u21s ..

Would be nice to see a couple from Villa, Albion  on loan for the first team though, I agree

Bit harsh on Mike Fowler that. Taken the academy lads to their  best-ever place in FA Youth Cup

Sure Dales reluctance in taking over the first team way back was fact if it went sower he would be out the club - he’s made for Youth in Charge post but sure it will not happen

If Dale came back there would be a flurry of transfer activity.

I really think it is important b to rebuild The Shed...

I know some of the old school supporters, from the 1990s , stand in the open end , right corner...

However you are exposed to the weather ❄🌂☔⚡ and the vocal chords do not travel well from there , to encourage the team...

I would rename the stand the Farrington Shed , after the loyal sponsor legend , Andy " Henry " Farrington of Bradley Scott Windows.

But would the new recruits be an improvement or is it a case of better the devil you know and hope for the best?

This thread is 'Building Contacts' not 'Building Contracts'! LOL

Pilgrim plod , a building contact can indeed be a New Shed built !

Something which can well be also relevant to the success of Andy Morrell..

Better crowd atmosphere , attendance , not exposed to the weather elements 💧☔❄⛄, as some of the old school supporters , from the 80s /90s stand in the right hand open corner , behindue the goal !

I stated back in July that AM is full of hot air. He quotes in the paper that he is building his network up. And so far we have seen no one come forward apart from foxy from burton Albion. And to be honest if I was foxy and burton I would stay well away from coming back. The level looks to comfortable for him, he should be atleast be aiming for a conference club or league two to push himself on.

That said he was a success here and AM should be selling that to the local teams ie. Coventry, Walsall etc.. instead he gets loans in from Solihull, who are bottom of the league and the players are probably no better than what we have.

Telford have a link with wolves they sign an under 19 welsh player on loan from them and get Ebanks to sign for them. That is a club building contacts.

AM needs to go from managing the club. I hear petrov is looking for a managerial position. Let’s do this before it’s to late.

I think all the contacts he might have had when he first took over have probably been sacked leaving him with no mates he can call on.

Telford have a link with Wolves because their manager was the coach at Molineux.

Appointing him based on what exactly? Has he ever managed?

We seem content with staying in league.

We have a manager who can not develope contacts in an area that is flooded with football teams.

If I were Sir Bob i would give petrov the job based on, he was a highly rated international footballer who played at the highest level all his football career, based on him being a captain of his sides that he played for. Personally I have been in his company for a weekend on an fa course, he is captivating, he is motivating everything that this club of ours is lacking.

August,

Andy Morrell is a nice enough man - he supports worthy charities, such as Cancer Research , in his own time and I respect him for this.

However , to get into the Conference National , a good working relationship with a League Club needs to be achieved, unless we getake a Multi - Millionaire backer / backers.

The likes of Solihull Moors do this with Birmingham City FC...

For Tamworth FC, to achieve a decent chance of promotion , league players albeit on loan , is the way to do this.

At one point Morrell had never managed, nor Alex Ferguson or Conte. All current managers had never managed before given a chance.

That's some stupid statement.

What's stupid about it?  It was in response to the following text suggesting that Petrov had never managed and wouldn't be worth trying.  Every manager was given a chance as a rookie. Hartlepools and Brian Clough spring to mind etc etc.                     Womble12 wrote:

I would prefer to try an enthusiastic young manager hungry for success than a floundering boss who's had four seasons of failure. There's quite a few rookie managers in this league doing well.

Following on from my last post about untried managers - it can work if clubs are brave. Where would Lincoln City be now if their board hadn't appointed a complete novice?

The Cowleys weren’t novices

Danny Cowley had managed Concord Rangers (for about eight years)  and Braintree

Yes but had they been, it would have a brave appointment
