Hoping Shaw and Turner will spur us on today on and off the pitch and spark the start of some much needed momentum. Tough tough tough today and happy for a point to be fair. Good test - could be 2-1 for us but equally can see us getting stuffed - think now we will score goals but key will be how many our weak defence with no strengthing will concede so 3-3 for me - Mrs A says a desmund - Turner-Knight- CT for me - Come on you Lambs - Jones is not a captain - doesn’t shout or lead so to send a message to whole team would make Shaw our Captain from start - dawning of new era and all that - just an idea

I’d say Shaw / Verma will be the new vice captain

So like Kiddy game - they commanded first 30 but we stayed in it and nicked a well taken goal this time - surrounded by their fans and trust me milked it - Shaw my MOM and sure Youth correct decision - and so unlucky not to have eventually won it when they cleared off line in final moments however draw fair result - not going anywhere this season so NOW let’s start planning for next season - ditch and move Morley for starters and try our youngsters for more than bench time and the odd 10 minutes

Agree on man of match Argus. Shaw stood out for me too.
Keeper did look okay though, as did Kettle
Kotwica had a better game  before subbed as well I thought.

Thought Stevens got us the point today, made very little mistakes and well deserved motm. Shaw looks a great signing and with Brackley having 65% possession didn’t see much of Turner but looks to have a bit of pace about him and looks to have potential. Probably deserved a point but with better finishers would have gone 3-0 in at ht. But point taken and keep pushing

Really? I  thought he played well  and looked a lot more confident than Jezeph or Rowley.

But I didn't think he  had too many saves of note to make despite them having  a lot of the ball.

Thought we got away with murder to go in 1-0 at half time - don’t see where we could have gone in 3-0 at break - that said unlucky to have not hung it whilst doing a great closing down performance in second - that’s football

If Kiddy win on Tuesday that effectively puts us 9 points adrift.Certainly Morrell's worst season to date. We could, with the run of fixtures coming up,be sucked further down the league. Our immediate concern must be to reach 48 points or more.

Pretty decent performance on the whole against a useful Brackley side who have good players with quick feet. Liked their right back. Thought Tom Shaw was excellent and would have been my pick as man of the match. Credit where credit is due,i'm no Jones fan but i thought he had a pretty good game. Shame we couldn't quite hold on for the win mind. Kotwica had his best game so far for us,and although he and Turner didnt pose a great deal of threat up front, i thought they chased and closed the opposition down well. One thought, was Darryl Knights not fully fit, coz otherwise how on earth does Taylor get to start the game ahead of him?

Can’t believe nobody has mentioned Verma. Best player on the pitch by a country mile. Shaw, Stevens excellent debuts. Powell and Kotwica had very good and threatening second half’s after a poor first

Was in town yesterday but due family could not make the game, a draw not a bad result, and Shaw back is great, but we do need a Donkey up front

Yep - when safe ditch the who we won’t sign next season and try try try try out our youngsters - we won’t make play-offs but will be criminal that when safe we just plod on - 5 year plan and counting - We wasted likes of Bells and Newton with hoof ball - we can’t now waste Verma and Shaw - let’s try to build something round them now for the future- oh hum just an idea

Thought we learnt kicking out non-fighting footballing whimps like Deeney who only turned up when they want to Lamb - Taylor is a fighter who never gives up - gutted when saw Knights on the bench and Zack chosen above him - About opinions but what has he done to be picked over Knights - just maybe AM trying to prove to us after all signing Zach was a good signing - oh hum

Argus....hoof ball was the exact reason why newton thrived so much. Balls stuck down the channel was where he had most joy. So he was hardly wasted by the tactics of that!

You obviously only remember the good times mate - majority of balls were hoofed up front no where near In region of Wasp who had to chase forlornly time and time again - on floor to feet better suited to him - however you have your view which l must admit is a lot more costic on TFC Facebook - ha ha good 👮‍♀️ bad 👮‍♂️

3-0 down at ht Argus. I’m not that greedy, They’ll be kicking themselves not be at least 2-0 up, but losing, must of had a belting at talk team

So here’s the question DL - for me how on 🌏 does Zach start the game ahead of Knights

I guess its all about opinions really Argus, which is why we have this forum. Although as things stand Kotwica doesnt look like he will bag lots of goals, i thought he probably had the best game i've seen from him thus far. I asked how Taylor gets in ahead of Knights to which Two Gates replied "Taylor who set up the goal". Now i'm getting an old man i know having watched TFC for around 55 yrs but if my memory serves me Taylor had a shot on saturday which the keeper should maybe have saved but parried straight out to Powell who scored, so i would argue that Taylor didnt set up the goal as such. I dont dislike Taylor who always gives 100%, but think he has limited ability and believe Knights to be a much better player. Presumably Two Gates thinks otherwise which is fine,as i said earlier, its all about opinions, but the bottom line is we all want our club to be successful but maybe have different ideas as to how this is best achieved, in terms of management and playing personnel. It's pretty frustrating at times being a TFC supporter!

Yep mate we agree - Knights for Taylor every time and Taylor for Zack every time for me - about opinions mate and let’s not talk about frustrations - at least we have Shaw now and that’s a start

An excellent signing and my man of the match on saturday. (At least the NLP reporter agreed). I know that we need to look for a regular goalscorer, but as i've said before,my opinion is we have to get a mobile solid defence, which has been lacking for the best part of 2 seasons. You aint gonna win any leagues or progress through play offs with a dodgy defence i'm afraid

The defence most definitely needs improvement, we also need a big man up front, someone who can hold the ball up and bring others into play, I liked the look of the midfield at the weekend although for me Tom Shaw who had a good game, I’m not sure he was MoM, I thought Verna shaded it, but there you go it’s about opinions

Knights SHOULD be starting ahead of Kotwica / Taylor but is fair to say he’s stunk the place out and looked disinterested for a month or so now. Maybe a kick up the backside being dropped, presume he will come back in now. Thought he looked okay when he came on Saturday although due to the situation in the game most of his work came in our own half

Styche has been for several weeks and has not been replaced.Without a half-decent number 9 we are going to slide down towards the bottom 3. We are 9 points away from the play-offs and 8 points ahead of the drop zone.

Thought Stevens did ok and is better than what we had previously - Shaw major quality signing going forward however agree100% - Need a striker in to replace Styche urgently - Turner to lightweight at this level - we need a bruiser who can put it about and hold ball up - without that we will continue to drop - a defeat on Saturday could see up drop further and we have a very difficult run in to end season - AM seems happy with our defence which could be our downfall - wouldn’t keep any our our current defence apart from Burns and Ricketts - Jones not a leader or holder of defensive line and Morley whom l sure AM will honour him with the freedom of Tamworth award pretty soon got to be worst fullback we’ve had since 2000 - oh hum

Football managers always think differently from the fans. The fact that no proper number 9 has come in beggars belief. Surely we are not going to play these very difficult games with a puny forward line.

Argus you say give Youth a chance and build for next season, then decry him playing Zack.
Knights has not been at it for quite a few games, so deserved to be dropped, I think thought Kotwica & Turner played well against Brackley and did not give them a minute at the back with Dean in particular struggling and faking injury to give them time to recover. In fact if AM had left the lads up front on I don’t believe they would have scored. The subs Kbights and Reid were far slow and less energetic which gave more time for them to build
Play Kotwica & Turner together again on sat
Come on you Lambs

Zack has all to do with our youth set up - don’t care a dam if we loan or sign young or old if ultimately they deliver for us on pitch. Point I’ve tried to make is that we have and will invest sums of money in our academy and Under 21s and have a manager who will not use them because to him as quoted are a risk. We have a plastic pitch which we can’t make money from because of us 🍒 picking the cream of the youngsters and pissing of our local leagues in the process - think about it slowly please - if that’s a joined up plan god help me and us.
